Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be our guests' first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation at Copper Point Resort. Our Front Desk Agents ensure a positive first impression upon a guests' arrival and a lasting final impression upon a guests' departure.
Duties: Welcome guests to the resort in a polite and professional manner; Manage reservations, including taking phone calls, registering guests and making changing reservations as needed; Respond to general guest requests via email inquiries; Perform check in and check out tasks; Inform guests about payment methods and verify their credit card data; Ensure guest complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner; Provide information about the resort rates and availability; Assist guests with disabilities; Ensure front desk area is kept clean and tidy; Sanitize high touch surfaces every 4 hours; Other duties as assigned by Front Desk Manager.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Computer knowledge & skills; Opera knowledge would be an asset; Ability to stay calm in high pressure situation; Organizational skills; Time management skills; Ability to work well with a great team of Front Desk Agents as well as other Colleagues throughout the resort; Ability to stay calm when dealing with a demanding guest; Ability to be professional and pleasant; Ability to comply with company procedures and safety policies; Ability to anticipate and address guests' needs; Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required. Knowledge of Copper Point Resort and its amenities is an asset; Knowledge of local activities and amenities is an asset; Knowledge of OTAs and how they operate is an asset.
Required Training and Experience: Opera experience is an asset. 1-year guest service experience; Front Desk experience is an asset.
Required licenses, certificates and registrations: High school diploma
