It’s about building collaborative relationships based on trust and open communication. Currently, we are seeking an Efficiency Specialist to join our HomeWarming team. In this role, you will serve as a point person for our Delivery Agents and program participants, report on technical data along with updating key program processes and forms. This multi-faceted position includes leading a variety of tasks using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in support of report preparation, proposal preparation, and data management. A high degree of attention to detail and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office products are required for this position. Daily interactions with staff and clients will require a candidate with a professional and positive demeanor both in-person and on the phone. Responsibilities: Review participant files and approve efficiency upgrades such as insulation and draft-proofing Process Delivery Agent invoices (review costs, enter savings, code, and submit to Finance) Work with Delivery Agents to track participant status Collect, analyze, and report on technical data to the Program Manager and Delivery Agents Troubleshoot Delivery Agent-specific issues and help them manage their workflow Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with Delivery Agents Provide feedback to the Program Manager on participant targets/names to send, general process improvement, and key program documents Oversee marketing activities and facilitate discussions between ENS & Clean/NSPI marketing teams Organize and host, with program co-administrator, bi-annual HomeWarming Advisory Council meetings and prepare quarterly program updates for Council members Train other staff to review participant files and approve energy efficiency upgrades Lead special projects, as needed (e.g. data analytics, pilots, etc.) Troubleshooting problems independently, where possible Assist other programs (HEA and New Home Construction), as required Receive and process Housing Nova Scotia referrals, as needed Identify and update key program processes and forms Provide solutions to client concerns and issues Attend outreach events and meetings with other parties involved in low-income programs Educate participants about the program. Education Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience Other relevant professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager, Certified Measurement and Verification professional would be considered an asset Experience Qualifications: The qualified individual should have experience with technical knowledge, and an aptitude related to energy efficiency measures along with advanced proficiency in report and technical writing with strong attention to detail and editing. You are proficient with Proficient with all Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); strong interpersonal skills and superior time management skills, along with excellent written and oral communication abilities. Additionally, you are flexible and have above average attention to detail combined with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. In the first week, expect to: Meet the HW team Read and understand the Program Manual Get familiar with the general processes and how the program operates Have introductions to other functional areas of the business, and how they interact with HW Meet with individual HW team members, get familiar with their roles and how it interacts with yours. In the first month, expect to: Meet various HW program partners and Delivery Agents Become familiar with the program’s targets, goals, and overall objectives Become familiar with the programs process flow Learn how to navigate and use the programs project tracking/management tools Begin reporting metrics, distributing client leads to contractors, and prepare program reports and updates with support Meet other team members within ENS that you will work closely with and understand how you will collaborate. In the first three months, expect to: Become familiar with in-depth program specifics Have written and manage various reporting and invoice approvals Be able to manage and navigate program tracking information and management tools, and prepare program metric updates and reports without assistance Manage relationships, fulfill information requests and troubleshoot concerns of program partners, stakeholders and relevant internal staff Meet with the HomeWarming Advisory Council and lead reporting and meetings, with support from program partner at Clean Foundation.
